The need to make a difference in the lives of children has followed me most of my life.  It's an innate longing that has shaped major choices along the way.  From making my younger siblings and cousins "play school," to combing their hair and being the "Mother Hen" of the group. I'm a nurturer!  From the beginning,God placed qualities within me that caused me to have a connection with children.  Perhaps it's the inner child within that's a constant reminder of what children need to be successful, and I protected that in my heart as I decided to become a catalyst for change.  My 4th-grade teacher told me, "I was beautiful, smart, and I could achieve anything as long as I worked for it." It was in that moment, I knew I wanted to be just...like...her...A Teacher!
